I just got back from church, and now my family and I are on the way to my little cousin’s birthday party! So I thought that I could write a blog and let y’all know what’s been going on for the last few weeks!
I am so glad that school is finally out, exams are done, and we get a break for Christmas! Unfortunately… it shows that it is going to be 75 degrees, and storming in Texas on Christmas… I am still dreaming and hoping for a white Christmas haha…
I also have some exciting news… I entered the Texans Fanthem contest to sing the National Anthem at one of the Texans Games, and won! So I will be singing the National Anthem at the Texans game on January 3rd! I have entered this contest a few times and I am so excited and blessed to have this opportunity! This is something that I have always wanted to do, and it is still hard to believe it’s happening 🙂
I just recently had a show with Nolan Burke at the Braman Winery, and it was so fun! We loved the atmosphere and all of the people there were so nice 🙂 Story time about that night… So I woke up Friday morning basically not being able to talk with a major sore throat and stuffed nose, of course on the day I have my show haha… So I went to school just hoping that it would get better throughout the day and it did! So I came home from school and had about a two hour rehearsal with Nolan, then I had to head out to sing at the CASA Home tours! However, half way through my set at the house, I realized that my voice was basically gone again :’) so I finished that and had about 1 hour between that and the show at the Braman Winery, so I didn’t talk at all until I sang, and I ended up sounded ok, but I had to drink a lot of olive oil to make the pain better! But all in all, it was a great night!
I hope everyone has a great rest of the week, and enjoy y’all’s Christmases 🙂
